Being a metal head is sort of hard because you don’t wanna terrorize the “normal” people around you.....

But I like terrorizing the "normal" people around me...

Why? I don’t.....

Firstly, because it's not my fault that "normal" people find me so shocking. And secondly, I hate hiding who I am - I like the way I am and I'd rather have everyone give me weird looks than try to fit in with "normal" people.

Ah, ok. I also like the way I am but unlike you I don’t want everyone thinking that I’m a messed up freakshow.

Well, I AM a messed up freakshow so I'd rather have people know right away. I just don't want people get to know the wrong me at first and then be shocked when they find out about the real me. This way people can decide right away whether we'd get along or not.

Well I have to agree with that. I just don’t like the hate and harassment I get from people if they decide to start shit with me for whatever reason. I’ve already had plenty poured on me during my childhood and online life (as you can see by some of my newest memes) I don’t need any more.

I'm sorry about that... I get the feeling. I've been through quite a lot myself. I understand the instinct to hide and I have done so for quite a long time myself... And unfortunately, now I'm falling back into that pattern when at work... I absolutely hate it and it brings back many hurtful memories...

But when I was hiding when I grew up I still got a lot of hate... So I decided I'd rather be hated for being myself than to be hated even though I'm trying to fit in.

If for you it's less hard when you act "normal" I'm really glad for you. You do what feels best for you. I wish you all the best!

I’m sorry to hear that you have had to deal with bad people as well. Hopefully they are finally leaving you all alone now and I desperately wish two of mine would do the same. I don’t need the horrible pain they’ve caused me to continue for the rest of my life like they two want it to.

Same here but even so I simply wish that everyone would simply get over me for being different than them.

It is not less hard, it’s ever more hard, but I have to do it unless I want to be stalked and harassed nonstop by idiots out there in the world.
