Gemaakt van 100% pure ironie. Ik wist niet eens dat weet dat tulp uit Turkije kwam.

Eerlijk gezegd is mij dat ook pas een week geleden verteld, hoewel ik wel wist dat hij niet van Nederlandse oorspong was.

Maar dat feit was geweldig!

Ik heb een leuk feit. Croissants komen eigenlijk uit Oostenrijk.

En macaroni en spaghetti komen eigenlijk uit China en zijn door Marco Polo in Italië ingevoerd.

De Pizza is ook al niet Italiaans. Die komt oorspronkelijk uit Latijns-Amerika.

Nou, dat wist ik eigenlijk niet. Ik realiseerde me net dat ik net een paniekaanval had. Het is oke. Het is gewoon dat, omdat ik dol ben op het eten van pizza, dat me als een verrassing kwam.

I see you spelled "verrassing" correct (some native Dutch speakers spell it "verassing", which means "turn to ash", and that leads to a lot of jokes).

Yeah that's the jokes I'll have to avoid, this is why I double-check my spelling to avoid misunderstanding (not that I'm afraid of grammar nazis but you get the idea).

Well, when a word gets an entirely different meaning by just leaving a letter out, and especially in this particular case, then it's not only grammar nazis that will respond. Now I do remember in Dutch some grammar nazis "corrected" a comic in Dutch, leading the author to link them to the official site of the institute of the Dutch language, stating the grammar in the comic was right and thus the grammar nazis were wrong.... Now that was a moment of irony.
