Trump actually called the coronavirus “their new hoax.” His words.

Does added context help? No, not really. He said it in the context of paragraphs’ worth of whining about Democratic criticism of his presidency.

Everything Trump does, or doesn’t do, that could possibly be his fault is always some sort of fabrication by the other side.

But prove me wrong!

Quote me some instances of Trump actually taking responsibility for something negative!

The one instance that comes to mind is when he apologized for the “grab ‘em by the pussy“ comments (but then later walked back his apology). But it’s still enough humility that I’ll go ahead and give it to him

I offered Trump’s phrase “their new hoax” — which he actually said — in support of the proposition that Trump has a tendency to blame others when things go wrong. This is nothing new. He does this over and over and over again.

I did *not* offer his words in support of the proposition that Trump thinks the coronavirus isn’t real. Clearly, he does. He is not that dull. But: he is a master in spinning and not accepting responsibility for things that he should. When it comes to the coronavirus response, whatever it is, the buck lies with the President.

I don’t find him persuasive, but clearly a lot of you do.

So now your saying you are arguing in a circle rather than offering evidence of your position.
