No were not on the same page. There are gay characters but sometimes there are unnecessary gay characters. Characters that are gay that werent gay in the comics but now just for the sake of inclusion and box ticking which don’t contribute to the plot in any way, shape or form. Thats what the joke is abt. Sad that i have to explain it to you😂

Comic storylines and characters are fluid anyway. Who really cares if the silver/big screen portrayal are changed slightly? Adaptations need to be a least slightly refreshing takes. Queer ppl want to be represented. Kids/younger people want to be represented. Obviously they deserve it. Corps want money. That's why they do anything, so it's nothing new and usually not too in your face or done in such a way that dimishes the plot. Most of the time nobody panders to them or excuses their conduct for virtue signalling.
Anyway it wouldn't be an issue if more of the creators decided to more mindfully and REALISTICALLY portray the world in the first place. Just because they've hit a creative block in the road or want a quick money grab, doesn't mean that minorities shouldn't be represented more. Most are still str8, white fellas (like myself just fyi), really no need to act as though media representation is a bad thing most of the time. So it's not unnecessary if they're aiming for let's just say 20% of characters becoming queer (etc.). Not asking for much in a world dominated by a fairly hostile majority

and now kids are in danger due to the stupid Cuties debacle.
