Wow...I just have no idea how to respond to this. Obviously you're a Bernie fan and I've struck a nerve. For that I apologize, but I would recommend that you start doing a little fact checking. Or maybe a lot.

Just admit it bland one, the Dems set the ground rules for impeachment. Then, they rushed the articles through, lying to the public by saying it had to be done quickly because Trump was such an imminent threat to our country. Then Nervous Nancy sat on them for weeks (wow, that's urgent!) and then, when the Pubs in the Senate used pretty much the same rules the Dems in the House used, they're accused of being unfair.

It would be pathetic, if it wasn't so entirely predictable.

Now, all that having been said, I was hoping (as in really, really hoping!) that witnesses would be called. The Dems are the ones who have far more to hide.

Didn't you notice how they just sort or rolled over at crunch time? Did you ask yourself, why?

If we're talking about unfair trials, what court in America would not allow the defense to call witnesses, would not even allow the defense to cross-examine the witnesses, would hold hearings in secret, but cherry-pick evidence and selectively leak it to a press who is on their side?

If you ask me, that looks a lot more like a Star Chamber kind of ruling than a "fair, open trial." Any judge would throw out a case that was so obviously predetermined, without even considering "evidence and witnesses." The Senate did the right thing by not calling witnesses, marking that impeachment as not even legitimate.

So presenting a rational argument against your position = NOT paying attention?

Explain one thing, and I'll let you go. If you really believe in a "fair, open trial," explain why most of the impeachment proceedings went on behind closed doors, with only democratic witnesses taking the stand, and no cross-examination allowed?
