Of course he has the power to do it

Just funny he would choose to free the most corrupt Democrat ever when he tweets incessantly about (allegedly) corrupt Democrats

Hey! Maybe it’s never been about corruption after all, but arbitrary politics-based persecution and clemency!

When they remind you it’s possible to not vote for Trump. I didn’t realize I could do that! | MY LIBERAL BRAIN IS DESTROYED | image tagged in mind blown away, election 2020,trump,politics lol, donald trump, democrats | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
I didn’t realize I could do that

Not here to provide an explanation. You should be able to find that out for yourself without asking.

Have you heard his own words about what went on?

My actual question is, Do you not think he has served enough time of a 14 year sentence?

Actual question in reply: if Republicans just want to lock up corrupt Democrats for a little while, just so that they serve enough time and not necessarily the full sentence, why don't they just say that?

Dont know if that's what is being said here. Most sentences are parolled before completion and he is getting I think 10 months or a year before the actual parolable time.

Personally I think it's close enough, my understanding of why he was released stems from listening to him in his own words describe the injustice in the sentencing. Injustice is Injustice and that's how I have formed my opinion.

It's not, at all. It's just what you said.

Trump panders to voters who literally and unironically want Democrats to hang. So if your theory that this is about making sure that the punishment for Democrats is lenient or palatable is even remotely correct, why has he never said that?

"Trump panders to voters who literally and unironically want Democrats to hang." what hang Hillary, sure, they say that.
You make so many assumptions.
One justice system for all is what it's about. Not for any political party but for everybody.
If the crime says you hang for it then everyone who commits it should hang unless there is some modifier/s.
I wonder how I said any theory, i stated opinion. You put words in play that were never said.

So wait, your question was intended to be completely unimportant to the entire discussion?

Only question was asked of Kyliefan.
You asked your question of which i gave response.
I only wondered if it was the pardoning (or whatever they refer to his reason for release) or the term being cut short that is his outrage on the matter.
I can see all the outrage to know there is too much emotion interspersed with reality to want to bang my head on the matter.

Blago literally tried to sell a go***mn Senate seat. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of his corruption

“The Chicago Machine.” It’s what the GOP railed against and tried their best to impute to Obama during his entire rise to national prominence.

Well, Blago was Ex. A for that entire concept. And now he’s free after just 8 years

The reaction in Illinois to this news was largely negative, even among GOP folks who normally support Trump on darn near everything

I don’t think Trump even realizes how much this move really really REALLY undercuts his entire campaign against “corrupt Dems.”

Blago was guilty as sin and his self-serving press conferences and interviews don’t change that

Gosh some of you are so gullible

Okay, thanks. Dont worry about answering original question.
Nobody seems to bothered about all this otherwise we would have seen more responses anyway.

I respectfully decline to subject myself to 30 minutes of Blago spin. I’ve read enough of the news reports and opinion commentary on his case already.

Here are the salient facts:

—A jury convicted Blago after a full and fair trial
—A judge sentenced him
—Some have opined the sentence was too harsh but I have no real reason to doubt the sentence was fair and reasonable
—Trump freed him early because, basically, Blago once said nice things about him on the Apprentice (and dealing out clemency to celebrities strokes Trump own ego)
—This episode is strong evidence that Trump’s ongoing Twitter campaign to prosecute “corrupt Dems” is basically a campaign against those who refuse to kiss his ring and nothing more

The end

If "nobody cares" in politics, that's because all the right-wingers would much rather memory-hole this.

As it strikes right at the heart of everything they've been indoctrinated to believe about Trump and his crusade against corrupt Dems

I can still talk about it all I want

Could be any number of reasons why no one seems bothered.
If a Kyliefan makes a meme and no one choses to read it then what sound can it make?

I can’t force anyone to pay attention

But I can sure try!

Got your attention anyway

Always a pleasure

Okay, so you dont think it's long enough.
I think it's close enough for the crime committed and probably excessive when compared to comparable cases.
I suggest you take my advice of hearing Blago talk about what went on. I have seen his 20 minutes press conference and another 10 minute interview in which you hear what the msm hasn't printed. You may see a bit more of the 2 sides to this story.

Why does he still claim innocence after all this time?

Because that's what he does! That's what he's always been like. You know how Trump makes a point about never admitting he made a mistake no matter how petty the mistake was and how publicly and clearly he made it? Same character trait.

I've been following the Blagojevich story from the beginning and when he went to jail, my only thought was "good, now we're done with the sheer weirdness of this story."

Nope! We weren't.
