I used to be a firm believer in wet water, but now I'm not so sure. What are your standings and arguments?

Water is a magical substance. It can be wet, it can be not wet, but all of the time, it is a murderer.

Water is not wet as it is what makes things wet...

My argument was that water has the physical attribute of being wet. Because an object cannot transfer a physical attribute into an object without it having that physical attribute.

But the water doesn't transfer the wetness onto other objects. If it did, the objects would still be wet after you take the water away again. "Wet" just means having water on or in it. That's how touching a wet object makes you wet as well - it doesn't transfer the wetness, it transfers the water.
You could still argue that water is wet because it is in contact with water though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

water is a liquid.

liquids can only be mixed or layered.

water can therefore not be saturated (covered)

therefore, cannot be wet.
