Yeah, you see in Canada there is no equal representation, so it’s always The coastal provinces always competing. Alberta and Saskatchewan have little say. You see people complaining over the senate being unfair. It was supposed to be representing the states, not the people but then the 17th amendment occurred and this happened. I’m glad that the most important part of the government is equal representation.

This is why equality in the senate is the most important thing. Leftists claim its undemocratic and unfair (it was made that way on purpose) to represent the will of the states to treat them on equal grounds. If it was proportional states like California, Texas, New York and Florida would dominate while states like Wyoming or Nebraska would have almost no say. The compromise by the founding fathers is one of the best they could ever do in history. One side proportional, one side equal.
