I see. That verse you've cited has been used most often by Atheists and Agnostics to discredit scripture. And for those who for the first time reading it will feel deeply disturbed.

Now, I'm curious, why did you find that verse as something great or funny?

I guess I think it’s a great verse partially because people like to treat God very mildly and this verse can remind people of the gift of fear of the lord, and partially because I don’t think that God would do that and that it was maybe tweaked to remind people of fear of the lord, so if someone changed the verse instead of being disturbing (which I will say that it is) it is, in a way, funny.

Hmm... I take the verse literally, but thats for another debate. What you've said resonated with me, how people these days treat God so casually that they've forgotten that He can easily take their life.

He is not "My Homie", Jesus is not "My Homeboy" or "My Best Friend", etc, God is King of the universe which makes us nothing in comparison.

And I presume that the funny aspect of, is in relations to dark humor?

Actually I don’t typically find it funny but it’s just so un-bible-like that it seems funny in the context.
