Their plan is obvious, right? They knew they couldn't have a conviction, so they just came up with BS articles of impeachment, and quickly, just to get it done.

Next, they are counting on maintaining control of the house after the 2020 elections. IF they can do that, they'll do another round of BS impeachment articles. Why? Not because they care about the American people, and doing their job as our representatives in the govt.

Oh, and it's not to try and convict him, because they don't really care about that. They know they have no evidence, but all they care about orangemanbad. So their dream, their wettest of dreams, is to impeach him a second time. Then they can say that he's the only US president to have been impeached twice. That's all they care about.

Yes, they really are that effing ignorant. Doubling down on stupid is just one of the tactics.

It failed on two counts . 1) It was supposed to stop Trump from investigating the Ukraine 2) They knew themselves that a purely partisan Impeachment wouldn't work .

I really think that figuring out their motivation is simple, once it's broken down into its core elements. Those are:

- only caring about being in power
- not caring about the country
- hating Trump

If you factor those three things into how you look at any liberal progressive position, it's pretty easy to figure out why they're for what they're for.

But don't count on them to feel the same way about an issue one day to the next. That depends on which way they perceive the political wind to be blowing.
