"historians generally agree it was founded by a handful of Confederate veterans in Pulaski, Tenn. as a social fraternity and it quickly changed into a violent group that terrorized newly empowered black and white Republicans in the South."

One historian confirmed there’s a historic link between the Democrats and the KKK: Many angry Southern whites during the 1860s and 1870s were Democrats, and some joined the KKK. But according to J. Michael Martinez, who wrote the 2007 book "Carpetbaggers, Cavalry and the KKK," it’s misleading to say the Democratic Party founded the Klan.

It was a more of a grassroots creation, Martinez said. Plus, the Democratic Party of the past is not the Democratic Party of today. From the 1930s onward, "you think of the Democratic Party being considered the party of the disenfranchised," he said.

"Although the names stayed the same, the platforms of the two parties reversed each other in the mid-20th century, due in large part to the white ‘Dixiecrats’ flight out of the Democratic Party and into the Republican Party after the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964," she said.

While some Democrats supported the KKK, there’s no evidence the group was founded by their political party. And context matters—the anti-black Democratic Party of old is not the party that President Obama belongs to today.

We rate this statement False.

blah, blah, blah...the fact reamins that the Democrats were the party of slavery and that the KKK members were Democrats.
You can copy and paste all day, and won't change the facts.
No one here (except you) even mentioned Obama. But, since you did, here goes:

Obama's Democrat party has and continues to perpetuate the myth that Republicans hate blacks and that the Democrat party is all about elevating the Black community.
If that were the case, why didn't the Democrat party accomplish their stated goal? I mean, they have had control (yes, I said CONTROL, because that is what it was, until Trump) of the Black vote for over 50+ years.
No...the Democrat party, as of right now, has lost and is continuing to lose their collective minds.
Trump has accomplished more for the Black community in a little over 3 years than the Democrats have in the past 50 years.
No, the Democrat Party is doing their best to keep the Black man on the plantation and vote Democrats into office.
I could go on and on, but, chew on those facts for awhile.

To say that anyone has had "control of the black vote" is truly a racist thing to say. No one controls an individual's vote except the individual. You are saying that all black people do as they are told by the Democratic party. Remember don't wash your KKK robe with your MAGA hat.

Even using the phrase "keep the black man in the plantation" is racist.

Jesus you f**kers are bastards.

I knew it would only take a matter of moments before you threw down the "Racist Rant".
It is the default position you take when you can't argue the facts.
