...that wasn't going to be filed with a United States clerk

The left basically accused POTUS of the same thing because a sharpie was used to correct a weather map. The left was being petty.
But, it would also be petty to lock up Nancy for tearing up a copy of the SOTU speech. She effed herself and her party when she did that.

....OK, I'll bite. How is that in any shape or form the same thing?

How is it not? Do you not remember the whole sharpie/map debacle? The left acted like the weather map was an "official document" and that it was "falsified" because someone adjusted the projected hurricane path with a sharpie. SUPER PETTY.

So Nancy tore up a copy of the SOTU speech. I don't know if what she did violated the law, but it was SUPER PETTY and disrespectful of everyone there.

I'm assuming that Nancy didn't have the only copy, and she was free to do with her copy what she wanted. Going after her for tearing up paper after they came after POTUS for having a phone call is not going to help anything. She's committed far worse crimes that we need to focus on and not her stupid witchcraft ritual/temper tantrum.

You are absolutely right. Something more deserving is coming her way...

He got caught out his ignorance of his geographic knowledge of states - by the way, he did it again over the weekend - and rather than admit to a tiny mistake, he took a sharpie to misrepresent information to the press to make it look like he was right.

So where's the similarity?

Today, ethics complaint was filed against Nancy Pelosi over torn-up speech.

“The law does not allow the speaker of the House to destroy the records of the House"

We HAVE records of that speach. It was broadcast EVERYWHERE. That was just a printout. It was not going to be filed. She can do whatever she wants with it.

Enough to have an ethics complaint filed against her, and for you to continue to claim otherwise.

Even money says that goes nowhere.

Wait, you think something filed by Matt Gaetz has any serious legal weight?

Very little. All I pointed to was the code, and her actions were enough for a complain.

It'd be a shame if this was the sward she would fall on, as there are much more deserving blades awaiting her in the not too distant future.

K. Do you understand the difference between what you wrote and "Matt Gaetz said that maybe this might break a law"? A law that only applies to records that will be filed by a court clerk?

Yes professor, I understand.
Do you understand, that he filed an ethics violation? Separate from the law mentioned above.
