I'm awfully sorry, I've forgotten our conversation. I'm virtually a Baptist as well. With that, I'm also do not fit the stereotype.

I think Baptists who do fit the steretype often comes from the south so their pastors/preachers often shout in delivering sermons, but in terms of worship it varies yet sometimes the differences is sometimes distinctly ethnic.

I've been to an all-black (or predominately black) Baptist church and ... they fit the stereotype. They not only yell while they preach but worship ectatically.

My church is like all white lol. It's not like we don't want black people to come, they just don't come to our church. +it's all right I forgot too. I've never been to a church like that, (I'm from the Midwest btw) but from what I've heard churches like that fit the stereotype like you have said.

You and your church can't be faulted for that, I agree. there are reasons why there is a racial separaton in that fashion and it hasn't at all to do with hate.

I don't like going to black baptist churches not because I'm a racist or a bigot, but because it is not my taste in worship and preaching. I prefer a more conservative approach, athough I do like shouting ... when necessay.

Paul Washer is a good example of it and he is one of my favorites. He is a Southern Baptist. He only yells to stress an important point, and not because it is a traditional way of preaching.

Mine too. I think ever since Paul's "Shocking Youth Message" a lot of believers patterned themselves after him.

With that said, I've made my own stream and you're welcome to join it:

imgflip.com/m/Evangelicalism

It's for those who identify as Evangelical or Protestant... or just Christian (but do believe in the 4-5 Solas of the Reformation).

There we can fellowship with believers, post and discuss/debate our respective denominational... or non denominational beliefs.

To a certain point, yes.

There are Christians who truly believe, and then there are those who think they're Christian but are really not.

but for the most part, I don't really care what denomination people are in.

Nor do I. as long as they believe in the core fundamentals of Biblical Christianity.

There are those who think they're saved because they've gown up in church, or go every Sunday, but the fruits of a saved person is not there (which I've already mentioned).

And then there are those who think they are, as they live in obedience to scripture, but have the wrong god (1 John 4:1-2, John 1:1-3, 14) and the wrong gospel (Galatians 1:6-9 & Romans 10;1-4).
