Democrats might be able to pull out of the nose dive if they cast away those 1950's nostalgic views of blissful socialism. Yeah, like facts would ever influence an Democrat mind.

Yup. Exactly what I meant. You have not moved on from the 1950's.

WTF are you really trying to say? Yeah, I started moving on from the 1950's 62 years ago. and never looked back.
Don't you love all those glorious 1950's socialist pictures of Castro and Che, Eugene V. Debs, John Dewey, Francis Bellamy, Jane Addams, Jack London, W.E.B. Du Bois, Katherine Lee Bates, Walter Lippmann, Alice Hamilton, Florence Kelley, Clarence Darrow, Margaret Sanger (founder of Planned Parenthood) and who can forget Helen Keller, a visionary with her ear to the ground for the coming revolution. Who can forget Frederick Engels or that 50's kind of guy Karl Marx or the socialist's socialist- Adolph Hitler der fuehrer of the National Socialist Party! He missed moving on from the 50's when he lost a game of Russian Roulette with Eva Braun. How about Huey Newton, Bobby Seale, Eldridge Cleaver, Bobby Hutton, Alex Rackley and Betty Van Patter? Too bad they murdered each other in the struggle (for internal power, you know for the people and stuff). Oh the list goes on. And talk about moving on from the 50's, how about that 77 year old Bernie Sanders! Now that's moving a long way. Or 74 year old Elizabeth Warren- mover and a shaker!
So back to your clever question in quotation marks- "What are you, socialist or something?"
