Unamused Mcgonagall

For those unfamiliar with the Harry Potter universe (or even hate it), an Animagus is a wizard who is able to assume the shape of an animal. Except for the shape and looks, the wizard has all human properties, like human intelligence, lifespan etc. (In the first chapter Uncle Vernon was surprised to see a cat read a map (which was in fact Minerva McGonagall who was in her Animagus form at the time), since cats can't read, but since this cat was actually a human in disguise, she could).

I would be an owl.

It's just a matter of interest since it's not the animal I expected (but since Rita Skeeter could become a bug, I guess a mantis should also be no problem).

because praying mantises are cool? also they're small so they can probably sneak into a lot more places relatively undetected

Makes sense to me.... Only watch out for female praying mantises (or you may lose your head)... It's at least a very original choice ;)

First of off Pottermore said I would, but then again, Pottermore also put me into Gryffindor while I'm sure that the sorting hat would if it was real, put me in Ravenclaw, so that doesn't say too much. I do have a kind of feeling for cats though, and of course, I am a cat owner myself.... So well... yeah ;)

There is an Animagus quiz? 😳 I only knew the two sorting ceremonies, the wand thing, and the patronus quiz. Btw. I was sorted into Gryffindor as well initially but I took the quiz again and apparently now I'm a Ravenclaw as well. 😅 What are the odds?

I found a Hogwarts House quiz, also a quiz about the houses in the American wizard school, but I don't remember what came out there, but I vaguely remember it to be Thunderbird, but I'm not sure. I also had a Patronus and Animagus quiz and both came out to a cat. And now you mention it I vaguely remember a wand quiz, but no idea what I got there, anymore.

I couldn't remember my wand either... wasn't anything fancy though. For Ilvermorny I got Wampus but from reading the descriptions I probably could've gone to any of the four...
My patronus used to be a salmon but for some reason it forgot and gave me a weasel instead. I'll go look for the animagus quiz later and tell you.

If you had asked me a few years ago I would've said lion without hesitation. But now I'm not so sure anymore... A squid or octopus are more likely, I think. 😅🙈

Dunno... just what I identify with. Oddly, not a rabbit. 😅 But the lion was always there within me it seems (maybe that's why I got put into Gryffindor at first), but in the last few years I've changed quite a lot and feel more like a kraken now... 🤷
