Of course, but this data was readily available. Not sure if it included other drugs such as illicit or even prescriptions. Not writing a medical paper, though, and it goes beyond my purpose of a shortened meme to make a point.
Text and driving aren’t the only forms of distracted driving. Fiddling with the radio is one other common one. Once, I was riding my motorcycle on a limited access highway. On twisty curves a car encroaches into my lane. I look over and the jerk has a damned map unfolded on his steering wheel and he’s looking down at it!
We all make driving mistakes but DUI and all forms of distracted driving is inexcusable.
But now we are way afield of the point of the meme in denying freedom of choice because others abuse their freedom. I don’t/didn’t, so hands off my cars and my guns please. ;)
