The Mythic Wasteland- Part 12.

((Setup Thread.)) {It was the night of a long day as Valiku lit a fire, and Charna came back with some food. They sat and waited to see if anyone would come.}

M was caring for the eternaball so eterna could feel cared.

Charon sat next to Electra, "...."

{The feeling was pretty akward as the group sat, waiting for the food to cook in the fire.} "Well..." {Charna straitened} "Who wants to hear a story?" {Charna hoped this would relax the tension.}

Charon was staring at a puddle of water, running his finger over his scar. "Knock yourself out..." he said.

{Charna sighed.} "Have you ever heard of the legend of the Final Beast, eye of the stars?" {She looked around expectedly, most likely thinking someone knew.}

Charon looked up at her, "....Yes....Mira, right? The final being who does things....."

{Charna sighed again.} "I'm telling the story again."

Charon sighed, "Fine then, Im just bring my best here."

{Charna sat down and stared at the stars.} "Ages ago, there was a beast made of the darkest nights, the deepest hells. It ravaged the land and took many souls to the underworld. It threatened destruction of the entire realm. People lived in fear. You understand the picture. The mages fought against the creature, but it was no use, and they were left half dead. All hope seemed lost until one night..." {Charna was staring at the stars more intently now, almost like she expected one to fall down to the mundane earth.}

Slowly, Charon looked up at the sky too.

{After Charna's small scolding to markus, she looked at the fire. Valiku pulled the food out and distributed pieces to everyone.}

Charon got a smol piece and started chewing on it slowly.

{Charna continued onto her story, not acknowledging the food in front of her.} "From a night with a pitch black sky, no stars, no moon, and a driving rain, the creature attacked again, focusing on this realms point of existence, the Lumiaciant Dawning Stone."

"I smell food. I'm hungry," Ember walked into the scene, carrying his family.

{Charna continued onto her story, not acknowledging the food in front of her.} "From a night with a pitch black sky, no stars, no moon, and a driving rain, the creature attacked again, focusing on this realms point of existence, the Lumiaciant Dawning Stone."

Ember ate his food like he hasn't eaten for days since he's used a lot of magic. He listened to the story as he did.

{Charna continued on.} "The dark beast would have destroyed the stone if it wasn't for a single falling star, blazing through the night."

Ember was very invested in the story

"The star fell infront of the stone, and from it's light, both the crystal and the star, another beast was summoned. The Final Beast."

{Charna looked at the stars again, and when she spoke, she spoke like she saw it for herself.} "It was spectacular. The Final Beast had fur white as newly fallen snow, wings of dulled, but strong gold, and pure crystals, made of only gem and magic, but blue as the sky, the ocean, and any sapphire. Three arms, representing life, light, and order, waited for their mistresses command. Her eyes, a dark but soulful turquoise, blazed at the evil shadow."

Emilia: so. you don't have too.

"What else am I gonna look at though?"

Emilia: are you trying to flirt with me. and to answer your question: the dead tree's the ground that rock that looks like a rabbit, the new girl, the new dragon girl, or literally anything else.

He shook his head, "Its only flirting if you interpret it that way."

Emilia: well that's how I interpret it. and I don't like it.

Charon shrugged, "Turn your thinking about then."

Emilia: 'kay.
Emilia sat down and looked at the night sky.
Dustin: anyway. guys if we are actually going to do this... quest thing. then what is a good reason for doing this. the forest has been corrupt for thousands of years. this beast thing is coming back for someone we don't have, there are only three dragons here, and frankly. that demon business doesn't matter to me. so... what are we doing?

Charon shrugged, "Aliza is the one who brought me here...."

Dustin: So you see, it from my point of view. we were brought here for no reason to pretty much serve someone. I might as well leave these Idiots.
Tyler: you were forced to be here. and now you're stuck with us.
Dustin: I'm not stuck with anyone. that ended when I was seven. you should know that Tyler.
Tyler: what.
Dustin: nothing.

“You can...but I don’t think eterna will hear it...”

“I never heard of it before..”

{Charna turned to Charon.} "Have you heard of it?"

{Charna continued on.} "The dark beast would have destroyed the stone if it wasn't for a single falling star, blazing through the night."

Twilight: this beast kinda sounds like the guy I'm hunting.

"The star fell infront of the stone, and from it's light, both the crystal and the star, another beast was summoned. The Final Beast."

{Charna sighed again.} "I'm telling the story again."

{Charna looked at the stars again, and when she spoke, she spoke like she saw it for herself.} "It was spectacular. This caused a lot of creatures nearby to instantly dynamax/gigantamax.

{Valiku swore, the sword appearing right by her side.} "What the hell'd you do Charna!?"

One appeared right below eterna, launching it like a beacon into the sky and forming a dangerous purple cloud..

{Valiku slashed at the ground before making a looping arc at the cloud.}

A 5 headed serpent came out of the cloud in an intimidating way.

{Charna snarled as Lightstar lept up.} "What happened?"

((Ah, okai))

A storm of portals was sorrounding the area.
Eterna had been eternamaxed from mira’s sheer power.

{Charna looked shocked and confused.} "HOW?! Her name was not forbidden to speak!"

Charon looked around, "...."

((When you leave for ramen class and come back and it's like-))
{Valiku gave Charon a sympathetic look.} "Just stay there and remain calm."

((Yup))

Charon fidgeted with his bow and arrow. "I dont want to be calm."

{Valiku growled.} "Sit there and keep Electra," {Her paw gestured to the unconscious Electra} "Safe and not dead then."

He nodded, "Alright then...."

{Valiku, Lightstar, and Charna whirled to face Nightshade, whom gave a murderous glare, her eyes fixed on Charon.} "But I want a word with him."

Charon held the pin close. "...our one hope." he said, hiding the pin in a fold in his scarf.

{the two looked at each other. The dawn was breaking out.} "What should we do now?" {Valiku stood up in her Time-For-Me-To-Take-Over stance.} "We go to any nearby town for supplies."

Charon looked at her with pity, "....can I bring you back...?"

{The bird nodded.} *It's possible, but dangerous.*

Charon sighed and stood up, keeping watch over everyone. Aliza looked over at him, "Well well well, look who-" Charon cut her off and shook his head. "...I am not my father."

Charon meted with his scarf. ".....I'll do it."

{The bird looked at Charon, and it wasn't a bird. It was a white beast, just as Charna described} *Thank you. I have to go now, but I'll try my best to stay with you.* {The white creature jumped into the pin, and it glowed with blue light.} "What was that?" {Charna asked.}

((Wait who is this))

Charon nodded, "...we move at dawn. Everyone, go to sleep, I'll keep watch over everyone." he said, starting to sound like a leader.

Kento: wish, I could. the moon is stopping me from it.
the moon was brighter, and it was rounder and closer than usual

{Valiku blinked but sat down and tried to sleep. Charna did the same.}

"I got this," Ember said calmly.

((What do you mean?))

((Is that like his mom or something I missed some stuff))

((No thats Mira.))

((That was my first guess))

{Valiku gave a thankful nod.}

Charon raised an eyebrow, "Oh really? I dont think you'll get one. Talk to the arrow." he said, shooting one at her.

I know it didn’t, he just slapped her in return of that sentence.

I’m still kinda not happy with anyone now because you won’t stop the drama with productivef**k.

{Nightshade roared, and a blast of black fire erupted around.} "SILENCE! WHERE IS IT?!"

{The bird shook its head.} *I don't know. I just don't know.*

Charon wanted to bang his head on the tree. "So...after the time is up....can we still talk through the pin?"

{The bird nodded} *For three hours, then I have to leave and go back to my body.*

Charon nodded, "....Are you....dead...?" he finally asked.

*I had an extortion cast on me. It's a spell that banishes someone entirely from existence by destroying their place on the Lumiaciant Dawning Crystal.* {The bird fluffs its feathers} *But some of us can find ways past a true extortion.*

((If you dont like it, then dont look at it.))

I’m basically forced too. If I turn off that notification I won’t know what’s going on in the mythic wasteland.

{Silence was all that could be heard.}

((Wait, what happened while i was off?))

{Mira nodded.} *Yes, and no. A part of my soul can enter through the pin at will; It was made with Starfallen Metal. But I can't stay in it forever. Three hours before I go back to my actual body if i stay in the pin.*

Charon put it back on his scarf, "Oh hell...what am I supposed to do!?"

Ember pointed his pistol at Eterna. "Holy Spirits, lend me thine power! Drain the power of the inhuman threat before us!"
He charged the shot and let loose a beam of blue light. It hit Eterna right at the chest and pierced it.

((What happened when i was off into oblivion?))

((Nothing, I guess))

((Oki.))

((So what were they doing before again?))

((I think the Nightshade fight)

((Not to sure, Charna was telling the Mira story.

{And it was quiet once again.} "That was easy."

Charon tilted his head, "Where is what?"

{Nightshades eyes suddenly flickered from triumph to shock.} "I-impossible..." {Charon's wounds were healing, the fire dieing out.}

Charon moved his hands to his throat, "Oh really?"

{It seemed like she was intimidated.} "I'll be back." {In a flash of fire, she dissipated.}

Charon snarked, "Ill be waiting."

{Valiku and Charna shook their heads.}

Charon freaked out, "Oh no- Im not ready for responsibility like my dad! Im just a weak boy!"

Emilia gave Charon a look that said "what do you want?" and stopped looking

He shrugged, "I was looking at you."

{Nightshade gave another angry roar, shaking the trees.} "DON'T PLAY GAMES WITH ME! WHERE IS MIRA'S SOUL!?"

Charon didnt flinch, like he was dealing with a child. "Im afraid I dont know...."

{Nightshades eyes hardened.} "No matter. I'll rip your neck as long as it takes!

Charon looked over at the rest of them, "You saying you cant hear her?!"

Charon looked over at her, slowly breathing again. "Feel free to."

{Nightshade put a firey claw to Electra's neck.} "Will you tell me if i slit her throught?

Charon felt his throat tighten, "No, because I dont know!"

*Won't they help you? They'll...They'll share your pain. They have been through what you have. They'll stick with you.* {The bird looked at it's foot and gave a squawk of shock.} *No-no... no.* {It sounded a little like Charon.} *This is really bad*

Charon looked down at the bird, "O-oh n-no....waht now?!"

{Nightshade lunged at Charon again, but her blow was deflected by some gold, shimmering light....like wings around charon.}

Charon looked at them.

{Nightshade brought her claw closer.} "YOU. HAVE. IT. TELL. ME. NOW.

Charon got his bow and hissed, "....Fine. I'll tell you, just.....get away from her."

{Nightshade moved her claw away.} "Where?"

Charon took a deep breath, then made ice come out of the ground. "In a place." he said, trying to spear her.

{Nightshade noticed the ice, and smiled.} "You lie boy. Now your friend pays the price." {She lifted her burning claws in a slashing movement to Electra's neck.}

Charon got in front f her, so he got hit instead. "Ach-! Gah-!" he said, holding his throat. "....!"

((That's gotta hurt-)) {Nightshades lips curled into a sickning smile.} "I knew it was a lie. You'll only live long enough to tell me the truth, for your water can't save you from my master's fire."

((Thats a lotta damage-))

Charon was to weak to even make the water come. "....As....long as....she's fine......I.......dont......c.....car....." he said, trying to breath, though he was already suffocating on his blood.

Emilia looked at Charon and them wondering what charon was thinking

Charon caught her looking.

{The bird gave a worried look at it's foot, then it's leg. The starlight was fading, and one could see entirely through the bird} *The star is MUCH weaker than I thought. I only have three hours, maybe four, before I have to go back to the pin.*

Charon fumbled for his pin, and held it out to her shakily. "Y-you mean this one?!"

((Not yet Luni, not yet))

{But Valiku would eat her words soon.}

Eterna seemed fine, as if the shot had no effect. But, after a few moments, Eterna plummeted onto the ground, drained of almost all magic.

{From the bushes, a voice, silky, but angry, flouted to the group.} "Disapointing. I had hoped that beast would make my job easier." {Nightshade, still shamed from her first skirmish to the group, emerged from the forest.} "But this'll work out fine."

((Who's Nightshade again?))

((She was in part 6-7 and is darkfalls servant. Nightshade fought Charon/Lightstar and lost. She's gonna move the setup along now.))

((Oh I see))

Eterna was slowly changing to normal, trying to deatroy them with every last bit of it’s power.

The progressive weakening of the bullet stopped Eterna from changing back into its destructive form

It finally latches on ember’s gun and rips it into 2 before it was back to normal again, in a weakened state.”

Ember looked at the two broken pieces, "Hm... I guess I have to take them back to Surnami-"
"Do not fret, my friend. I can easily repair them!" a familiar voice said.
Ember jumped. Nobody seemed to notice the voice.
"C-Cruz? Is that you?"
"It is indeed I, Cruz Sader! Here in spirit form! Do you not remember my true vessel? I reside in your weapon now, and I shall fix it for you."
Golden glowing strands came from both pieces and they both connected together.
"From now on, my power is yours to keep, Ember."

All 5 of the hydra heads hiss at him while it’s core shrinks.

Ember smirked, then looked at his gun. "Cruz... thank you."

M:“You HIRED IT!?”

“Hey, be glad I didn’t shoot you too.”

"Bold of you to assume I'm going to let you get away with that," Ember glared.

{Nightshade shook her head.} "No, but don't some of us have the same ideals?"

“What the... how are you still ALIVE?!”

{Nightshade didn't even say anything. She was gasping at Charon.}

“Huh....tsunami got your tounge?”

Emilia: I'm offeneded by that

{Nightshade gaspped.} "No one- not exept- her soul-"

“Now back to you....who’s this you’re looking for?”

{She turned around and snarled, over her shock.} "The stupid tale that witch was preaching about. The Final Beast. Her true name is forbiden, which that stupid witch had spoke of. Somehow, she is helping you. PROTECTING you, even. It's sickening.}

{Nightshade whipped around to Markus.} "SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND LET ME SPEAK!"

Tyler: (pulled out his sword.) shut up. and either leave of I kill you.

He whips nightshade back.

(Thats not what the sentence meant)

“You don’t tell me what to do!”

{Nightshade clawed markus's side, leaving black scars on his side.} "I think I will."

Markus was laughing at nightshade’s suffering.

“Wow, you are real persistent. What if i....”
He snaps his fingers, and a dynamax cannon hit nightshade.

{Nightshade swore, unbalanceing.}

While she was stunned, he grabbed ember’s gun and shot her. Than he threw the gun right back at ember’s face.

{Nightshade withstood the pain and glared at Charon.}

Ember pistolwhipped his head with the gun.

{Charna stopped stargazing and stared at eterna seriously.} "She was worse."

The eternaball explodes in a blinding light, and eterna has broken out.

{Valiku and Charna didn't seem to mind.} "Maybe their hungry," {Valiku suggested.}

“I think it’s becuase I mentioned the darkest day-“
*Loud roar*

“Don’t ever mention it around eterna.”

{From the bushes, a voice, silky, but angry, flouted to the group.} "Disapointing. I had hoped that beast would make my job easier." {Nightshade, still shamed from her first skirmish to the group, emerged from the forest.} "But this'll work out fine."

“I’ve known that since I first came into this world! Hell, i’m friends with the final beast.”

((Mira don't know anyone from the group yet)) {Nightshade growled.} "Lies."

“You won’t know the truth then.”

“Isn’t that what the night is every day...?”

{Charna looked at the stars again, and when she spoke, she spoke like she saw it for herself.} "It was spectacular. The Final Beast had fur white as newly fallen snow, wings of dulled, but strong gold, and pure crystals, made of only gem and magic, but blue as the sky, the ocean, and any sapphire. Three arms, representing life, light, and order, waited for their mistresses command. Her eyes, a dark but soulful turquoise, blazed at the evil shadow."

“So what’s the name of this final beast?”

{Charna closed her eyes in rememberance. When she opened them, she spoke a single word.} "Mira." {The stars seemed to glow brighter in the sky, from the single sound of the name}

The sudden energy caused dynamax cannons to come out of the ground.

{Charna took a suprised step back as the beams shot through the ground.}

Ember ate BC's magic popcorn very loudly as he is very invested in the story

{Valiku turned to Ember.} "A little help with these?"

“That is...interesting.”
