Remember that the NOAA storm forecast followed his sharpie mark and actually reached Alabama the following day. Considering he was speaking with NOAA meteorologists, isn't it possible that they suggested it was possible, and he drew it.....after all, they did forecast it that way very next day.

"FORECAST" - NOAA made dozens of them leading up to the storm making landfall. The day after Trump made his sharpie mark, NOAA released this forecast:
