Really anything would be a start.
The most significant legislative accomplishment from the Trump years — perhaps even the last 10 years — has been a package of tax cuts, and that is about it.
All a tax cut amounts to is the government cutting you a check. Very simple to do and easy to administer. And unfortunately, in this case: unaffordable in the long run since it was not accompanied with spending cuts.
There are lots of things we could do but hyperpartisanship has totally clogged up the works. And the Republican Party now essentially being fundamentally opposed to governing.
