You can unfollow politics. It'll still show up in the streams dropdown menu, but you won't see any politics memes in your personalized hot/latest feed

Maybe, but I'd like to get rid of it completely. Also to rule out the possibility I feature a meme there by accident (as I did get a few memes by accident in wrong streams) :(

I agree, but I doubt they'll do anything about it. It's their main page.

Having arbitrary restrictions imposed on submissions that weren't imposed on them before isn't fun for me.

Not to mention that a "no repost" rule anywhere on a meme site is invalid by definition.

Part of my aim in making this was so that the mods would hopefully have a reality check and say to themselves, "Wow, could there possibly be anything more abysmally stupid than having a Fun stream with a No Repost rule?" and make the required changes.

Maybe. I don't know. Or at least give those of us who don't like that particular articulation of submission rules the option of opting out of that stream, by unfollowing it. Just to promote, y'know, individual liberty.

Technically, it only pops up atuo matically and you aren't following it.
