The horse-race is all about media ratings. #Vote Blue No Matter Who. | PoliticsToo: Did anyone watch last night's debate? Lol. I didn't, and I hear it wasn't great. Who are you voting for? Is anyone still undecided? Every single one of them would be better than Trump and what the GOP has become, so I'm pretty tuned out of the horserace, honestly. #VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO. | image tagged in cnn democratic debate 1/15/20,democrats,democratic party, trump, election 2020,debate | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

I tuned in for part of that debate over lunch yesterday. I thought Sanders was doing a great job, one of his best nights. Whatever you think of his politics, the guy is genuine and an inspiration to be killing it at his age. I voted for him in the '16 primaries and if he's still strong by the time the primaries come to my state, I might do so again.

A lot of my young professional, urban, liberal friends have liked Warren, but I have always had doubts about her electability given the Cherokee gaffe and her easy-to-caricature Harvard law professor background. She has a lot of detailed "plans" but I don't like all of them, and I'm not sure which ones she'd prioritize as president. Even though Warren has an inspiring story and worked her way up from basically nothing, I fear the voters aren't going to really understand that.

Biden wasn't doing terribly this time, I think. But he's had enough bad debate performances and other gaffes that I have serious doubts about him. He's remained strong in the polls for reasons that remain mysterious to me. As substantiveless as Trump's efforts to smear Biden and his son in Ukraine have been, I cannot discount the possibility of this shit having an effect on the gullible.

I think Buttigieg is a very articulate speaker and has run a great campaign. I personally think he'd be the most electable as a general election candidate. His relative lack of experience is the only downside for me, but that's nullified a bit since Trump had zero government experience prior to becoming POTUS, and I wouldn't consider Trump's haphazard 3 years as president to be great "experience" anyway. I'd say that someone who's served in the armed forces and been a mayor of a medium-sized city is bringing more significant experience than a real estate mogul who inherited his empire from his dad, went bankrupt several times, and otherwise ran beauty pageants, reality TV shows, and other failed product lines.

Don't have strong opinions on Klobuchar. I think she'd be fine.

No idea how Tom Steyer qualified for this debate, while Yang and Bloomberg were left out.

Bottom-line: I'm voting for any of them over the orange clown.
