I've slept with cats in my room for years and never did they try anything like that....

I let my cats run around anywhere in the house but at mght he comes in my room and tries to kill me and he started doing this when he was about 4 months old ( hes like 6 months old now)

Hmm... mine only poke me in the eye when it was a kitten, but was so shocked by my reaction that she never did it again. It was really clear to me she hurt me, and she didn't want that. Now she seeks my popliteals and sleeps there and at morning she just comes next to me and purrs to me hoping I'll wake up gently...
I don't think he really has killing you in mind, but I think he just doesn't really know yet what NOT to do with humans...

Yeah, it is a way to do things, but I am not sure if he'll learn that way.... Now I ain't an expert on cats, but there are ways to teach a cat things.... I could get my cat so far that when I'm eating she does jump on the table, but that she does not attempt to steal my food. It did took a bit of patience, but the result was good ;)

Yeah, dogs can also be pretty terrible on that department. I once remember a dog trying to snitch some stuff from the table while nobody was looking, and I silently went to the table yelling the dog's name. I do not know the English name of the breed, but this picture shows one ( https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boerenfox#/media/Bestand:Boerenfox.jpg ), but I can tell you that it's a breed easily scared, but the effect was crazy, she fell off the table onto a chair and from there it kept rolling onto the ground.... She didn't try to snatch food from the table again for a few weeks after that.... And all I did was yell her name...
