It depends on how serious it is and if you start seeing personality changes.

I am addicted to a Zelda character, his name is Dark Link, if you know him. He's in many Zelda games, but not them all.

Nah, the best Link is definitely Toon Link in Zelda, but regular Link in Smash

I just love Dark Link... a lot. And I mean it. I really do. Okay...

I guess when you are lonely having an imaginary friend, even an imaginary romance is only natural.
I guess it becomes a real problem when the love for the fictional character makes you unwilling to accept real people.... Then again, living in a fantasy world in general is not bad until it makes you unable to accept reality...

Yeah, I am quite lonely, I never got into a real relationship in real life, so I have come to relying on fictional characters a lot, which has kind of made me lose my grip on reality...

I've been married and I can tell you that a relationship is far from perfect, but I can also say, being single sucks too, and despite all the cons, we do need that special person, don't we?

Yeah, that's all true. Thanks for the inside knowledge, though.

I think the real question is what makes you think you’re addicted to a fictional character in the first place

Okay, I'm back on now, but there is a lot as to why I love this one fictional character. I could legit write a whole essay on him, no joke, but I don't know if it is a problem that I am addicted to a fictional character. I don't see anything wrong with it, but then could I ever trust a real life partner if I ever get one due to this? That's all I'm asking, really... and some more, but it's hard to explain, ya know?
