My late Brother, Jim, was a conservative Republican who worked for the NSA at one time. He was vetted at about the same level as the NSC staff. The FBI interviewed his Kindergarten Teachers, then worked their ways forward.People who work in these kinds of jobs tell the truth for a living. Our country's survival and success depends on it. They learn to put prejudices and other non-relevant factors aside when they work. These are not the kind of people who share idle gossip. The saying that they are told to remember is, "Say the magic word and win 20-years." Prison is a real possibility for illegally sharing sensitive information. "Need to know," is paramount. Most people cannot imagine how difficult it must have been for them to determine that America had a "Need to Know," what the president was doing.
