And now the dimwit dimocrats in the House want to try to misuse the War Powers Act to try to tie Trump's hands in dealing with Iran.
Nothing says 'I-hate-Trump-more-than-I-love-my-country' by doing something, that were it to work (it won't, thank goodness) would be more likely to end up starting a war than preventing one. These dimocrat klowns would prefer to tie Trump's hands, thus letting Iran act with impunity, killing Americans and others, rather than let Trump take action as he did, which *should* prevent a war.
If you disagree with either of the points in the previous paragraph, fine. But do you seriously think Iranian leadership isn't reconsidering planned terrorist attacks, and thinking about their own safety in the aftermath of Soleimani's death? Esmail Ghaani, Soleimani's successor, is probably going to stay indoors, indefinitely. But he has to know, that even that won't keep Trump from taking him out.
Imagine if the dimocrats succeed, and Iran, emboldened by the dimocrats' success at tying the president's hands, did something that kills many Americans, and is so heinous that even the dimocrats felt a military response was necessary. Sure, they might sign on at that point, but it would be too late for the dead and their families.
Normal humans would feel guilt at being responsible for those deaths in this hypothetical scenario. But somehow I doubt current Dimocrat leadership would shed a tear, as long as... orange man bad.
Thankfully the dimocrats will fail. Even NPR, back in 2011, published a piece about how feckless the WPA is, and how presidents of both parties easily maneuver around it.
