After the events of today, I feel compelled to update my input. General Soleimani was an enemy combatant in a war zone. Killing him was not totally uncalled for. In fact, it was probably a good strategic move, it it was strategic and not just a seat of your pants operation. Unfortunately for the president and the nation, it appeared to be the latter. Even if it was an unexpected opportunity that was acted on quicker than usual, notifying Congress and a few special allies would not have diminished the credit the president got. In fact, it may have helped mute the firestorm he is facing. The saying, "He could f**k up a wet dream," comes to mind.
