On the one hand, yanking an 83 year-old man's arm is not a bright idea. I'm in pretty good shape in my age because, well, I got a lot of free time to work out. I dunno how healthy Francis is or if he can take a sharp tug like that woman gave him.
Just yesterday, I took a stray mastiff's jaw to my bicep and now it's all black and blue. It barely knocked me down. And I'm just a few years older than the Pope.
So, I sympathize.
As for whether or not he should've slapped her hand away? Probably not. I've certainly lost my temper before, but he's is the Pope. At the same time, he is only human, no matter how much some Christians unnecessarily drool over those who take up the mantle. Even those that would want a more traditional Pope.
