As Vice President, Biden worked to have the corrupt Chief Prosecutor of Ukraine removed for not pursuing corruption and for attacking political enemies. The European Union and many other countries, as well as the Ukraine people and Parliament supported this movement. Just as was the case with the money Trump held up, Ukraine had to document its action to fight corruption to get the money. They removed the corrupt prosecutor and got the money. Like any politician, Biden took more of the credit than he may have deserved for a multi-faceted attack on corruption accomplished.
