and good morning!
let's be real here, pretty much everything i have said thus far has been an assumption on some level.your meme only has three aspects,so not a lot to draw from.
1.socialism
2.venezuela
3.referenced buddhist parable of the fox and the snake,or in your case, the scorpion and the frog.which is basically about the nature of things.
my assumption was that you were making a point that the situation in Venezuela is a direct result of their socialistic policies, and that this was a natural progression, because:socialism.
and while there is an element of truth to that claim.it is nowhere near the simplistic trope the media trumpeted for over a year.
our corporate media created a narrative in regards to Venezuela, and has for decades, that conveniently omitted any information that was contrary to the narrative.
which is what i was alluding to,the veritable blackout of the works of investigative journalists who had debunked that narrative.
maybe you are already aware of the US intervention policies in central and south America, and are giggling right now,but the Monroe doctrine is still in full effect.
maybe you are aware of the school of the Americas, and it's goals,or the national endowment for democracy and it's stated goals.
maybe you are aware of how we have deposed, assasinated, bribed or installed heads of state who are more favorable to US interests.
maybe you are aware that the core conflict in Venezuela is between the oligarchs and the indigenous people, and they want control of their oil back,(well, the 30% that was nationalized) and the US wants it as well.contrary to the spin..it is most certainly about the oil.and those oligarchs have been working for almost 2 decades with the US state dept to retake their rightful place as oligarchs in Venezuela.
the situation is not about an economic system,as the media narrative attempts to tell us.
it is about politics and power.
but if you weren't aware.
and youtube is an acceptable resource.check out:
max blumenthals work in Venezuela (award winning work in gaza)
aaron mate' (award winning for debunking russiagate)
eva Bartlett (who blew the lid off the white helmets in Syria)
those are just three off the top of my head, there are also some fantastic Venezuelan and south American journalists who absolutely destroyed the American corporate media narrative.so much so it forced both Elliot abrams and john Bolton to back off.
and please understand,i am not defending Maduro, just offering the other side
