A Colorful Rainbow of Rock

It was quite the place to be in Philly ( back in my day, lol )

I grew up in Baltimore, saw a few shows there and in DC before I came to Fl. Seen too many concerts since then to remember...😎👍

My concert days are gone, and so are the stadiums that I went to. Damn, I’m getting old!
Indoor concerts were at The Spectrum, and JFK was outdoors.
My second date with my wife was an outdoor concert at JFK with Journey, The Tubes, Brian Addams... one of those all day jobs.

Yeah, mine too. I can’t remember the names of the stadiums up there. I never saw Journey, sounds like a good show. My first show was Dio with Twisted Sister opening. I was 14, and was hooked!

Rush is mild compared to your concert, but most of the stage was all speakers! My ears are still ringing, lol :-)

I’ve always wanted to see Rush! That must’ve been a heck of a show back in the day! Can’t bring myself to see them now, though. Seen just about all my faves though. Those are the golden days of hard rock and early metal. Glad we got to see ‘em!

All of my concert days were in the early to mid 80’s.
I’ve seen Rush 3 or 4 times, Van Halen when David Lee Roth was with them, the Stones, The Who and various others.
My friend had an inside track with someone at TicketMaster that got us some good seats 😎👍
My bachelor party was a Rush concert, because I didn’t really drink much, and wanted to avoid the strip club scene.
That was probably my last concert, actually.
I wish I had seen the Ramones though.

Yeah, I missed out on the early VH with Dave, but saw Van Hagar at a Monsters of Rock festival. And the closest I came come to Led Zep was the Page/Plant tour with Jason Bonham on drums. Caught the Stones and Who too though. I think I was born a decade late. But heck, I’m almost 50 now, so...

I tagged it heavy metal because two of the albums are metal. (Though Bad Brains is more like a ska/metal crossover). I also tagged it classic rock and rock music, because that’s what the rest are.
