I understand. The situation is beyond crazy.
I don't need a safe space, but I also don't want to deal with people that are so deranged over HRC losing in 2016 that they attack conservatives at every opportunity. They don't even attack in an intelligent manner--it's all insults and harassment.
Originally, IMGFLIP didn't have streams, just "hot" and "latest". Then some people complained that they had to scroll past political memes. The memes they complained about were usually supportive of the president, so it was basically lefties w/TDS that were complaining. IMGFLIP decided to implement streams, with "politics" as one of them, and stopped allowing political memes to be posted anywhere else (e.g. can't post in "fun", which is the most popular stream, even if the political meme is humorous). This allowed the downvote trolls to narrow their focus on conservative memers and downvote their memes into oblivion, start flamewars, and harass them to the point that the conservatives decided turnabout was fair play. So of course, it's devolved into a massive clusterf**k. The thing is, lefties just can't meme. They end up losing the flamewars and they resent it.
Then the lefty trolls decided to set up politicsTOO because for some reason they thought the politics stream was dedicated to Trump supporters (when it's not, it's open to everyone). They must've circle-jerked each other to the point that they are bored in their echo-chamber and decided to come back to the politics stream and start some shit again. They're probably emboldened by the impeachment clusterf**k in DC.
There's a newb (that's a Kylie Minogue fan) that has expressed the desire to destroy the "safe space for Trumpees" of the politics stream (what a laugh, it was never a safe space). Basically stalking me already, too. This person has been asked why they don't go to the politicsTOO stream since it's more their style and the excuse is that they are too new, and they'd rather mess with conservatives in the politics stream anyway. That's the meaning of the meme I posted and it seems to be a common attitude among the politicsTOO crowd.
It does become exhausting when you post a meme trying to make a statement, only to have it shit all over by trolls who don't really argue any valid points, but just insult you and downvote your meme back into submitted status, stifling your free speech.
Sorry this was so long.
