As important as honesty is in a relationship, I believe that some things are no ones business. Opinions?

Most of the time I share everything with my wife....most of the time. Occasionally there have been a few things that just lead to an argument that I simply take care of and don’t tell her.

I lied to her about smoking a couple years ago, decided that the aftermath is in no way worth trying to hide anything...we're pretty open with each other. I quit after she found out, best thing I've ever done for myself so it worked out.

I think you should. I feel as if my parents lie to each other a lot and I don't want to be like that when I get a partner. Unless its like a present or surprise for them then you should tell them everything if they ask.

Obviously don’t lie, but sometimes keeping things private or omitting details can save a lot of anguish.
Point being If you’re in a happy relationship don’t do something to rock the boat.

I think in general you should be able to share most everything with your spouse (that's a different level of a relationship than a boyfriend girlfriend or partner) i remember being hurt when my husband decided not to tell me he had been laid off until he had gotten his last paycheck thinking it would worry me. Well to me that is something both people should know to be able to work through options together. Financial decisions, childrearing, things that affect the entire family should be a shared thing. Otherwise you risk breaking trust and just causing more unrest.

Depends on the content......
