except for where various ones do, with first amendments to constitutions and other such mandates that are a part of the human regulations and freedoms ascribed to religious worship in general as well as what 'customs' are 'legal' or not, like confession, or in the case of some but not all satanists and folks of other religious or non religious orientation, human baby sacrifices and what not, plus laws prohibiting the prohibition of legal religious practices and worship methods and so forth. whether people obey the laws or not varies from moment to moment, person to person, but they sure make lots and lots of rules about religion and people's behavior in general and as it pertains specifically to religion. not sure if the world would be better of with or without laws; people are gonna' be people, either way. 'but even when the situation's dire, it is only ever people who are able to inspire...' - from a poem called 'paper people'. but then again, people are often the reason people need people's help in the first place too, so round and round and round it goes...like so many sonnets in so many snows.
