How much higher? What if they move and you get less taxes?

Hmmm I’m not an economist and I don’t know what would be the optimal rate. But I know enough to know that wealth inequality has grown to staggering proportions, and too many decent people are struggling. It’s high time we soak the rich for once rather than keep handing them tax breaks and perks.

Yeh, the thing is the rich getting richer doesn't by necessity make the poor poorer. In addition you run to problems like the Laffer Curve that drops tax revue when rates are set to high. As such you have failed to give a good reason to actually raise taxes on the rich more, but instead gave me envy of wealth and punishment as a goal.

The top 10% already pay 63.1% of income taxes. The top 20% pay about 87% of income taxes.
