Biden’s not my favorite by any means but any of them running would be 10x better than Trump

Right now, Buttigieg. I think he has a rare and natural gift for communication and would eat Trump alive in a debate

Democrats regularly and shamefully elect drug addicts, serial rapists, child molesters, and murderers. If you think you can shame anybody for correctly stating Americans will never vote for a confirmed turd pirate, your brain is for decorative purposes only.

Bill Clinton: Serial Rapist; $850,000 settlement
Joe Morrissey: Child Molester; Convicted
Marion Barry: Crack Cocaine; Convicted

The real cringe is that you're a clueless idiot.

Guilt-by-association fallacy.

1. None of them are politicians I support.
2. Okay now do the same for Republicans.

If we had to choose our parties based on the worst offenders with them, then we’d have no support for political parties at all.

No, it would a an unrepresentative sample, a completely different fallacy.

It’s a fallacy however you slice it. Thanks for helping me out :)

It's important to get the right fallacy, because that means you understand why it is wrong and thus you will be better equipped to counter the flaw in reasoning properly.

Good point for me to keep in mind... particularly when debating against higher-quality opponents than these :)

I said democrats regularly and purposely elect criminal scum, and they do. You tried to shame someone, when you should be ashamed for associating with the party of sex criminals, but you're not, because you have none of the virtue you try to signal. Your mental gymnastics have no power here. Case closed.
1 up, 2m
Nah, they pile shame on themselves, I just draw attention to it.

As for the rest of your post... see unrepresentative sample fallacy above.

If you won't give links to real information, how do you expect anyone to see the light?

"If you won't give links to real information, how do you expect anyone to see the light?"

1. If people are on this website, then they have Google. Same as me.
2. Despite having Google, they've made a conscious decision in their minds to reject "fake news" -- a concept which among right-wingers has seemingly grown to encompass all traditional mainstream media outlets. This is why I am pessimistic about them actually reading anything I provide.

I said upfront it was not worth my time to provide links. However, I can provide at least these to give anyone curious a starting point.

https://www.economist.com/
https://www.theguardian.com/us
https://www.wikipedia.org/

Liberal_Antagonist immediately derailed this entire discussion thread with homophobia. I'm not sure any specific facts presented as being subject for debate. It's worth noting they haven't provided me any links, either.

However, what I would say is this: tool around these websites for awhile, and anyone down the right-wing rabbit hole will gradually re-orient themselves to reality.

Again... what facts are being presented or challenged?

This entire discussion thread, long as it is, has been mostly about homophobia. I can't link "facts" that are going to change someone's attitude on this. You kind of have to just... not be a homophobe.

"Did you forget what you wrote in your own meme?"

You mean this shit, which originally posted way upthread by BeegtymeRawkstah?

"Democrats regularly and shamefully elect drug addicts, serial rapists, child molesters, and murderers."

Those are not facts being presented as subject to debate. That's a pile of flaming hot garbage. It does not merit a response from me. You guys are simply trolling and sealioning at this point.

I think you forgot that you responded to BeegtymeRawkstah with a meme. I was referring to that one.
1 up, 2m
No, I remember exactly what I wrote in my meme -- I was emphasizing that my meme was simply a response to BeegtymeRawkstah's shit.

I maintain that "Democrats regularly and shamefully elect drug addicts, serial rapists, child molesters, and murderers" is a pile of flaming hot garbage, which does not merit a direct response from me. More specifically, he bears the burden of proof for substantiating such inflammatory accusations. I don't bear the burden of disproving it.

I have linked to four reality-based websites above, and so far I am the only one in this discussion thread to provide any links at all.

“Turd pirate”?! Glad I’ve never heard that one before. Anyway, coming up with ever more creative ways to express your homophobia does not make it cooler. I hope you see the light one day, but until then, keep digging that hole.

Of course he/she doesn’t understand. He/she is too young to understand. Being a fan of the “Party of tolerance and all welcoming” any suggestion that he/she be aware that many (most) people don’t think like him/her is not within his/her mental capacity

People attack Trump for his hair, his spray tan skin color, his speech patterns - but one person makes a funny name about a gay man and it's a hateful attack?

Grow up.
reply

Yeah, Trump gets made fun of on the reg.

If you can’t see the difference between making fun of hair and/or a spray tan vs. a man’s sexuality, then you’re the one who needs to grow up. The latter is far more serious. Gay people couldn’t even marry until a few years ago. Their political rights and status as equal human beings is still quite fragile.

Making fun of someone’s “speech patterns” is only not okay if the person is mentally disabled. You’re not saying Trump is that, are you? If the person is mentally competent, let alone the president of the entire country... yeah that is completely fair game.

I'm saying that anyone who is a public figure had better learn to take heckling. That includes name calling. I reserve the right to dislike anyone, for any reason, or no reason at all - as does everyone. No amount of getting offended is going to change that.

When you ninnies get offended over everything, it only highlights how weak you are.
2 ups, 2m
“Offended over everything.” Nope, just attacks based on personal characteristics that are historically tied to oppression and marginalization.

I’m not trying to take away anyone’s right to have an opinion on anything, or anyone, you choose. But all opinions can be expressed respectfully without resort to trash like “buttplug.”

JFC, you have to be kidding. Your opinion on what is and isn’t allowed has to be some of the most absurd shit I’ve seen in these boards lately.
3 ups, 2m
I tried to tell you this one is on the spectrum. They certainly do not seem to understand how life works. Maybe a closet buttplug or plugee
2 ups, 2m
I simply don’t think life needs to involve homophobic slurs.

The concept of freedom of speech does not abrogate our responsibility to respect others.

I’m not saying you can’t say it. Just... don’t. Because it’s hurtful and ultimately only makes you look foolish.

Making fun of hair and skin color is racist.
Gays like to take it up the butt and they get ridiculed for it, even though they are now allowed to marry.
Yeah, I can totally see how gays are so oppressed.
