It has been several years of posting 6 or more memes a day ... also commenting on thousands of memes. For what, some meaningless points ... nope for making people laugh and getting a laugh from others.
I tend to feel that when we enjoy what we do and do so meaningfully that we do move "up" the ladder. Points aren't the purpose, but they exist nonetheless.
