its easy, dor types you just gotta remember
>cheddar is orange/yellow. use it for omleetes and sandwitches. Use sharp if you want to jave a strong taste, mild if you want it sublte.
>Mozzerella is white. Use it for pizza and garnish. You can also eat it plain amd get the same effects. Shredded if you want it flat, rounds if you want it with a chewy texture.
Parmesan is white, but its often powdered or dry sliced. Use it dor past, soups and salads. You can eat the sclied stuff plain if yoire okai with the flavor, but eat the powdered stuff alone and Ill come ro you personally amd pistolwhip you.
Provelone is dor sandwiches. Personally, I dont like it, but some people do.
Same for american, though you can also use it for salads.
Use slices for sandwiches and salads. It gives a nice texture, plus, its more convenient
Shredded is for things like tacos and pizzas, so its easier ro bite without the whole rhing falling apart. (trust me, I learned the hard way...)
