Do you think Vindman where's that uniform to work everyday? Or is it just to political hearings to add a air of authority and emotional appeal to his testimony? I genuinely don't know whether he does or not, but it speaks to the current hugfest going on in this thread. If he is using his veteran status to establish a false appeal to authority or emotional plea, then he is fair game...in my opinion. I'm not a fan of this particular meme, because it's just stupid, but if someone points out his actions and comments in a way that reveals him to be just another political hack, I'm ok with that. I know plenty of "Veterans" and some that have gone into other government functions. While I respect their service, I don't tie their current status with that, as some of them have become intolerant shitbags that use their position to further their own ends, resembling but a shadow of the soldier that earned my respect. I think that is the sentiment held, but not succinctly laid out, by many in this thread and on this site.

the other is heralding him as a hero,creating the narrative of his past and bravely conquering adversity in his new home.making his way to Harvard and then making it in the military to the a high rank in the NSC.
(go on more liberal sites and you see some solid hero worship)

now,we can flip that script if we inject a new military soldier,with almost the exact same results.
put in tulsi,and now the the liberals hate her.she is a spy and a traitor.
