You are absolutely correct and a higher percentage of Republicans voted FOR these Civil Rights/Voter Rights bills. Antithesis isn't really showing us anything in that it is in no way refuting the message/FACT. LBJ and JFK opposed them in 1957. Few remembers that when Sammy Davis Jr married a white woman that JFK essently dropped him. LBJ was a Klansman and used the N-word right after he signed his "War on Poverty".
