What do you mean? I do not mean to suggest that it is impossible for people to have any conception of what a God is, or that people are completely incapable of understanding him. I mean only to say that when people assume what God would say/do if they were to have a conversation with him, they do not know what he would say, so they can not assume. Also, if people believe in God, there is no way that they do not appreciate him in some way. IF they did not appreciate God, or if they did not know what it was that they were talking about, then they would have had no reason to believe in him in the first place. The simple fact that they do implies that there is something about the concept of God that they can appreciate.

Because?

Because no matter how emphatically you believe in it, you just come off sounding like some rambling nerd who can't talk about anything except his favourite super hero.

Ok. I can't help that I am passionate in what I believe in. I would argue that if there is something that you are passionate about (which you inevitably are), that you are also passionate about it. There is nothing wrong with that. I would be more concerned if a person believed in something wholeheartedly but was not passionate enough to come off as a "nerd" in the eyes of someone else.

Point is, if someone is passionate about something but is not able to "nerd" about it and explain why he/she is passionate, then they are being ignorant. The people who have studied their passions and are able to explain and nerd about them are the ones who are the most credible. The people who are passionate but are unable to nerd about it could be deemed as not really being passionate, at least in my eyes.

I don't think that name calling makes my passion or any of my arguments any less valid.

I don't think it would be that hard. I bet a toddler could do it.

Because this is the infinite mind that created the humans, allowed them to fall into pagan rituals that he found offensive and then wiped them out except for 1 dude that built a boat.

And if you're like "whoa there, now that's free will. those people exercised their free will and turned away from God."

That means that even a toddler has more power than your infinite mind and understanding god, because they can exercise their free will at any time and not do what he wants them to do.

Like I said, not hard.

How does them choosing to do what they want to do reflect on the infinite mind of my creator? How does the fact that God gave people free will make it to where a toddler has more power than God? Can a toddler understand and put in place all of the properties of science that keeps our complex world flowing? If not, then there is not way that a toddler can have more power than God.

Er, no. Illiterate means you cannot read. And you specifically stated that 'humans do not have free will and never have', which is a declarative statement, and then gave the Bible as a reference.
So if you do NOT believe in the Bible I'm puzzled as to why you would construct a statement in that way.

Ok, cool. In that case may I have your citations and references that prove your contention that humans have no free will? And before you provide them, consider the following:
Where was the study published?
How did the researchers conduct the study?
How big was the sample size?
Who was the lead author?
Do they work for a reputable institution?
What did other scientists say when it went to peer review?
Where did the funding come from?

I'm of course assuming you DO have references and aren't just going to launch another Bible quote are ya?

So no evidence of any kind whatsoever. Gotcha.

I was, actually. So I guess the prefix you should become familiar with is "I think".
From now on you should say "I think" at the beginning of every sentence and that way everyone will understand you have no way of substantiating what you say.

If God were directly controlling things since the dawn of time, don't you think that there would be more christians? If the Bible is correct in asserting that he wants us to be with him forever, then don't you think that he would program us to love him and to never question him? The fact that people have questions/doubt about God is more proof to me that he does give us free will. A truly sick God would not allow his subjects to speak poorly of him, but seeing as how God created both people who love, and people who despise him, I think that it is sad to say that he is not dictating or directing our lives.

Your 4th point assumes that God is not in control of everything. If this assumption is proven conclusively to be incorrect, then your argument falls apart. I can not convince you that God is in control, that is between you and him. I choose to believe that he is in control of all things however, and so your argument (at least in my eyes) is irrelevant. I am sure that you feel the same about mine, so lets agree to disagree.
