while there is a constitutional case to be made for impeachment,does not mean they SHOULD proceed with impeachment.
a few things to consider:
1.every president in our history could have been impeached,under the articles of the constitution.
2.impeachment is not a legal process but rather a political one.
3.trump could have been impeached in his first WEEK of his presidency.pelosi repeatedly stated publicly that impeachment was OFF the table.until trump went after one of their own.(this is VERY telling).
4.then the democrats decided to limit the focus of impeachment.(another tell right there.because they are corrupt just as much as the republicans,and broadening the scope would expose their shenanigans).
5.while this may actually go to vote.the republicans,specifically mcconnel will draw this out right before iowa (I know I would) which will hamstring one of the most important presidential primaries FOR THE DEMOCRATS..Impeachment hearings are mandatory attendance.meaning that those candidates will have to attend.stripping them of valuable campaigning time.
6.there is NO way that Pelosi will garner the 2/3rds vote in the senate to not only impeach,but remove from office.unless you think 20 republicans are going to vote against their own party.

I don't have to be a trump supporter to see what should be obvious to anyone with a brain.this will fail,and give trump a free-press victory lap and possibly the 2020 election.
