This stream isn't about giving the readers options to turn it into a question, it's about posing a question and provoking civil and thoughtful discussion. I’m not a mod here, but it is up to you the poster to make it a question. It’s how this stream works. My suggestion, and that’s all it is, was that how you posted would be better served in politics.

Take Singapore and Cuba for example. Both became independent around the same time. Singapore ( tiny country with ZERO natural resources) banned communism and rounded up all communists and put them in jail. Cuba became full throttle communist.

21st century status: Singapore: 1 out of 6 households millionaires ( in CASH!);Cuba: weekly food rationing still alive and thriving, well off families are the ones getting money from Cuban living in America.

I was giving a very brief history of Singapore after they got their independence. Nothing to do with you or me or anyone's opinion because bottom line is, facts don't care about anyone's feelings.

To answer your question, rounding up communists here in US is like rounding up the entire Democrat Party.The Republican Party is not the party of lawlessness, tyranny, violence and thuggery. We tolerate EVERYONE, even the communists.

Trump's buddies are being sent to prison because the Democrat Party refused to move on after Crooked Hillary's humiliating defeat and they want to punish Trump for winning. After all, she had 98% chance of winning accdg. to Democrats approved fake polls. And Democrats got even more upset after their Steele dossier-inspired bogus Russia collusion turned into a hilarious nothing burger.

Breaking news: Republicans are not into angry and divisive identity politics because we believe in being American first, something Democrats don't support.

You may call wanting the best for ourselves, our family, our country as materialism, I call it human nature. That's why Marxism/socialism/capitalism use tyranny and oppression as a must and chain their people because they know given a choice, people would leave their 'equality' utopia in a heartbeat and go to countries where freedom and capitalism thrive.

But capitalism is neither of that. Neither wanting the best for ourselves, nor our family, nor our country. Capitalists only care about wealth accumulation what is profitable. That is why they'd do anything to reach that goal, regardless of the cost.

For example, nationalists support capitalism, but are opposed to mass immigration. This is a double-think, because capitalism is in favour of the immigrants from poor countries, as they do cheap labor, and as such, bring more profits for the capitalists. Is hiring and employing migrants and thus leaving your countrymen jobless "wanting the best for our country"?
This wouldn't be a problem if you didn't need money to make a living. There was a time when it was possible to make a living in wilderness off of hunting, fishing and permaculture. Today, such a lifestyle is not possible. Why? Because of modern, large-scale agriculture, massive deforestation and environment destruction and overall domestication of humanity to serve both their economical and political masters. A lifestyle with no dependancy on the monetary system is not possible.
Everyone is just a battery powering a system which treats them like shit their entire adulthood, prepares them to be treated like shit during their schooling, and when they're of no more use, they get retired and die soon afterward. Is this " wanting the best for ourselves, our family and our country" or anything resembling freedom?

Wealth accumulation ( big or small, individual or business) is what capitalism is all about. To be a worker or to be the boss, that's what capitalism is all about. In the past, when forests were untouched, more buffalos than people, when mankind was using plow all day instead of machine for their agricultural work, when mankind was using lamp/candle instead of electricity, even when mankind ride horses instead of cars or women slave in the kitchen all day long to cook, clean, take care of kids and animals and do laundry, when there's no air condition during summer, no tv or radio or internet or cell phone for entertainment and information, you can fantasize about the past and make it sound romantic but in reality it's not. The only countries right now that's still pretty much agricultural are communist countries like Cuba and North Korea but for some reason, I don't see any leftists packing their bags and going there to experience their YOLO fantasy. Even millionaire socialist Bernie Sanders love preaching socialism/communism and yet the guy has a penchant living the lifestyle of a 'greedy' capitalist with his three homes, flying private jets and millions in the bank. I don't see capitalism as a problem. I see brainwashed, unhappy, bitter and guilt ridden
people who refuse to enjoy and appreciate their life while living in the most prosperous country in history of the world as the problem.
