It is no secret that every partisan politician (in fact, every partisan person) has political enemies.
This is a statement of truth.
And calling someone crazy -- especially when their behavior is crazy -- is not only within normal limits but is a necessary allegation when people behave in ways that are manifestly crazy.
However, it is beyond the pale for a president of the United States to call people "human scum."
You are proud that Trump "tells it like it is" when, in fact, he appeals to "the lesser angels of our nature," not the "better angels" as Lincoln advocated at the end of long, vicious and bloody Civil War.
The fact that you don't understand these categorical difference is why you support this man, of whom Billy Graham's evangelical magazine, "Christianity Today" says: “Can we say with a straight face that abortion is a great evil that cannot be tolerated and, with the same straight face, say that the bent and broken character of our nation’s leader doesn’t really matter in the end?... The facts in this instance are unambiguous: The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral. The reason many are not shocked about this is that this president has dumbed down the idea of morality in his administration. He has hired and fired a number of people who are now convicted criminals. He himself has admitted to immoral actions in business and his relationship with women, about which he remains proud. His Twitter feed alone—with its habitual string of mischaracterizations, lies, and slanders—is a near perfect example of a human being who is morally lost and confused."
To understand these categorical differences separating normalcy from Trump's cornerstone twistedness, read conservative pundit P.J. O'Rourke's reasons for voting for Hillary in 2016 even though "she' absolutely wrong about everything (and) her lies and empty promises are the second worse thing that could happen to the country." http://paxonbothhouses.blogspot.com/2017/04/video-pj-orourke-discusses-new-book-how.html
