Steve Winwood huh? You just took me waaay back bro, my mom used to listen to this station all the time and I swear they played "higher love" every damn 10 minutes...its drilled into my brain! Oddly enough I still like the song, and the guy really can sing. Good call.
Also, I'll get major flack for this, but I really cant stand robert plants voice...go ahead haters, do your worst, lol. Zeppelin had some good songs, but I swear that guy just wailed in some of them and I got so burned out on them...I dont know for sure, never been actually evaluated but I've been told in the past I have the "perfect pitch" thing where you can hear notes exactly like they are meant to be heard, plants voice seems way off to me. He's got pipes, but the sound grates on my nerves...sorry to everyone I just offended!

I grew up on Lynyrd Skynyrd, but I can't stand Freebird anymore. It was and still is played beyond it's death.
I replaced them with Little Feat. Most think of Dixie Chicken when they hear Little Feat, but listen to The Last Record Album.
Axl has one of the most varied ranges of any singer out there, several octaves (six I think?). Freddy is just awesome, rock and operatic at the same time. And Steve didnt get the nickname of "the voice" for no reason.

Give Axl credit. He wrote some very complex songs. Too bad about his personality getting in the way of his talent.
