As an airbrush artist and mural painter, I can assure you that the aerosol cans, if infact thats what they're using, is low VOC and most likely a water bourne paint. Regular automotive paint you buy does NOT work in those situations. The mask is cuz that paint tastes like shit, but safe for the environment and expensive. I have bin doing this for 20 years and know my products.

I also have my doubts about the earosol cans, and dont believe that centre pic is the actual artist. A mural that large they would be using HVLP guns or preassure pots. That is waaayy to much paint to be using earosol cans, youd go theough thaousands, and if you look at the pics with them on the scaffold , you can see the air lines. Like I said, I bin doing this for 20 yrs, know several graffiti artists, and no, I'm not Banksy, he's not the only artist in the world, you're just being obtuse.

Fair enough. Each artist has their own methods and products. I prefer HVLP and Createx paints for my mural work and airbrush and House of Kolor for my automotive painting and I have used spray bomb for grafitti work on skate parks. I've always wanted to paint a rail car too

Ha ha ha, that's funny. Spent my share of time on the terlet memeing. I used to do alot of World of Wheels shows in Calgary znd Winnipeg and sell toilet seats for $350, I called it marriage counceling, Husband would say " awesome", wife would say "we are NOT getting a painted toilet seat" to which I would interject "that's one way to keep the toilet seat down". NHL logos, the big 3 autos and Harley were popular.

Some cans can be reused and most likely recycled depending on the brand ,
but the paint itself will be low VOC and a waterbourne paint, environmentally friendly. If they wanna make a can sculpture, great, two art instalations, one product

To be fair, how much greenhouse gases does a spray can realse? Surely not enough to be noticeable. Still a good point.
