I met Rip Taylor when I was a kid and my parents were volunteering for Make a Wish when we lived in Las Vegas. He was a normal guy, participating in normal conversation - but occasionally he would "Rip Taylor" out and throw confetti, burst into laughter, and then settle back into whatever conversation was going on. It was never dull.
He died just last month, and that made me sad. He wasn't super famous, but I think it counts.
