Propagandists like Niccolò Machiavelli and Edward Bernays have been studying how to manipulate the public for hundreds of years; and they still use many of the same tactics! Since some of the most effective tactics have been disclosed decades if not centuries ago they can't keep it completely secret; however sicne 90% of the media is controlled by a fraction of 1% of the public they never remind public and count on the amazing ability of the masses to forget, unless alternative media reminds them!
