And yet Trump-backed candidates lost a series of elections this week. Maybe over-confidence isn't the way to go this time.

It was a vote on the candidate not Trump....and he was done by 20 points before Trump waltzed in the night before....now there will be a recount because it is too close to call...less than 2000 votes.  it is a republican state and conservatives voted him out because he was disliked by both. Trump will win that state easily next year. The new governor is toothless as he is surrounded by Republicans and his policies that he put forward were conservatives....he will act just like a Conservative governor....and besides the other six top spots that were up in that state...were won by Conservatives.....included AG by a Black Conservative.....the first Republican AG in more than 70 years and the First Black AG for that state.....I am happy with that.....all conservatives are....

They lost one race in kentucky while winning every other one, they lost races in Virginia which has been drifting blue for years now, and then they creamed the dems in a load of elections across the nation, even in historically blue areas. If this week's elections are any indicator, dems will be toast in 2020.
