I guess you'll be giving up your Social Security and Medicare, both Democratic programs that the Republicans called "Socialism."

Neither of those are actual socialism, but thanks for lumping everyone together in a big group to dismiss differing opinions instead of treating them like individuals with that whataboutism.

SSDI & MEDICAID are welfare programs, they pay out based on need not contributions. The rest of us on SSI and MEDICARE at retirement get out what we proportionally contributed. SSI is no more welfare than a pension earned through the military or Ford Motor Co. And yes, I’d give up both if I were reimbursed my contributions, as I could do more with the money than what the govt will give me by retirement age.

And republicans want to re-elect a guy dumb enough to use quid pro quo in order to expose quid pro quo.
