Here in Taxifornia, we've recently come out of a several years long drought, that could have been mitigated had our infrastructure had the ability to hold the amount of water it was designed to hold. But most reservoirs can't exceed 65% or so of their capacity due to crumbling infrastructure.
It's quite pathetic really, and it shows that people view water as a right, not a commodity. Keep that perspective, and we'll be out of clean drinking water in roughly the same time frame that the world will end.
